One time I had a vision: I saw the earth from space, as if I were sitting on a satellite, and rising from the earth into limitless space was a light beam hundreds of miles across. On one side of the beam I saw myself in a glass box, suspended in space - 20, 30, maybe 50 yards outside of the light beam. On the other side I saw my husband, also encased in a glass box. Our boxes were cracked and mine had a hole punched clear through it. I knew in the moment I received the image that the entire purpose of our lives was to leave the box and enter the beam.
Maybe BEHOLD is like a field guide for the liminal space between the box and the beam. It is mostly about inner seeing and the transformational process of awakening to love by virtue of bearing witness to ourselves. Other major themes include: things Jesus said, writing, traveling, parenting, and studying The Work.
I’m Jane - an enneagram four personality needing a lot of sun and alone time. I identify as a spiritual companion, writer, and unlikely unschooler, currently living in a 26 foot camper with my therapist husband, Andrew, and our two tow-headed boys. Right now we’re headed West, where we’ll spend the year crawling from one national park to the next.
